Judy Temme Memorial Teacher Scholarship
Mrs. Temme was a beloved Columbus High School math teacher for 34 years. She was a lifelong learner who spent four summers in Greeley, Colo., where she earned a master’s degree in Mathematics at Colorado State. She spent an additional two summers of learning at the University of Wyoming and one at the University of Kansas.
Mrs. Temme always wore her maroon proudly and believed in the mission of Columbus Public Schools. Upon her passing in June, the CPS Foundation received a surprising phone call that we were the beneficiary of a retirement account, leaving the foundation just over $43,000.
The CPS Foundation has set up a trust account in Mrs. Temme's name to provide an annual scholarship for one teacher and one paraeducator to continue their lifelong learning.
